Giving Ancestry a voice in culture.
Ancestry has a quant association with old photographs, census records. Some fairly well know tropes that have been executed sometimes well, sometimes not.
We wanted the brand to have a bigger role in culture. Ancestry has records associated with huge, societal moments.
On the 80th anniversay of The Blitz, the first and last time the famous Picadilly lights had to be turned off to avoid detected from enemy aircraft, we took the Picadilly lights back in time, working with all the associated brands over the yeas to recreate the artwork and how it changed through the eras.
We also helped Ancestry promote their partnership with National Portrait Gallery. From the access given to us of 125,000 images, we created fun and creative images from portraits old and new.
